Muttonhead Collective pops up near Dundas West

By

Barbecue, babes and beers — oh my! Those are just a few of the things promised to be found at Muttonhead Collective’s pop-up shop party on Friday. This weekend, the Toronto-based unisex sportswear brand will be taking over Miracle Thieves (a new retail and creative space committed to showcasing the city’s best artistic talents) to present its fall/winter collection, allowing you to get your hands on its coveted (and hard-to-find) garments that are made right here in Toronto.

Grab of the Week: a cherry blossom ring by K8 Jewellery

Labour Day’s sudden chill had us piling on the layers and ruminating about the cold and bleak winter months to come. It feels like only yesterday we were rejoicing in the floral bloom of spring and the raging heat of summer. While those who love clothes can appreciate colder days for the fact that, well, we get to wear more clothes, how about a little something to remind us of summer fun (and sunshine) as the days get darker?

Jessica Biel is in town shooting Total Recall, and during her time here, she and former(?) flame Justin Timberlake have been given some admittedly good Toronto tips. They’ve dined at Swan, sampled the baked goods at Ella’s Uncle and they’ve even indulged in our favourite anti-Ford activity: city cycling. But aside from eating and, well, exercising locally, Biel has been sizing up some of our local designers — and, literally, trying on some of their homegrown creations for size.

The transitioning wardrobe is a tricky one. What do we wear when the days are hot, the nights are cold, the flowers are still in bloom but the leaves are changing? These questions — along with style, fit and colour palettes — can be all too confusing, clouding the mind with conflicted outfit choices. The result is often heavy jackets worn over light-weight dresses, socks and sandals: you know what we’re talking about.

Meet the team behind Toronto's insanely popular fashion blog, The Coveteur, at Holt Renfrew this weekend

By

Earlier this week, Holt Renfrew unveiled its latest window installation. Emblazoned on the glass reads a rather cryptic message: You’ve Been Coveteur’d by The Coveteur. The Covet-what, you say? Well, let us tell you. The Coveteur is a fashion blog created by three Toronto talents – designer Erin Kleinberg, stylist Stephanie Mark and photographer Jake Rosenberg — that launched in January, receiving 20,000 hits on the first day.

Where to find Toronto’s best online boutiques

By

The truly fashion-obsessed don’t let heavy workloads or business hours get in the way of obtaining new duds. With e-commerce, we can now shop 24-hours a day without leaving the comfort of our office or home. There are the obvious heavy-weights in the world of online shopping — Net-a-Porter, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Topshop — but what about the little guys? More specifically, what about the ones based in Toronto?
