Room 2046 design store and café opens in Summerhill

We can’t find any scientific proof for this, but we’re guessing there’s some kind of link between caffeine and impulse buying. How else to account for the growing trend of retail stores in Toronto that seem to take coffee as seriously as the goods they’re selling?

What I Wore: summer looks for day and night

Just in time for Toronto’s end-of-May heat wave, Vancouver-based brand Lifetime Collective asked me to take part in a style-off with other fashion bloggers to show how to wear three of its key SS12 items – the Paige dress, the Stevie Tank, and the Beaches shirt — in looks for both night and day. Glory Box pop-up sale is back, with discounted patio furniture by Andrew Richard, Gracious Living and Sojag

Having recently moved to the big city, we popped into his new downtown studio space to chat with the young designer.

Grab of the Week: a dangerously stylish clutch

When heading out for a night on the town, the question of safety always comes to mind. Every woman has their secret weapon of choice (pepper spray, stiletto heels) but the key lies in something that’s easily concealed within a cute outfit. Which is where this sparkly clutch from Nine West comes into play: it could easily double as brass knuckles. And even if protecting yourself through fashion isn’t your first priority, we still think this clutch is really cool.
