What I Wore: how a good biker jacket — along with some intricate jewellery — can spice up any outfit

By

Throwing on a good black leather jacket, especially of the motorcycling kind, can edge up any outfit. Case in point: when myself and some other fashion bloggers in the city were asked to wear Rachel Rachel Roy to the designer’s recent appearance at The Bay, each and every one of us showed up with a black biker jacket overtop of our RRR dresses of choice. Grab of the Week: a colourful chiffon blouse from H&M

Grab of the Week: a pair of early fall booties from Sigerson Morrison

Although we have officially entered fall, it’s still hard to completely give up on what’s left of warmer, sunnier days. It is a style trap set by the weather, filling the streets of Toronto with off-kilter combinations of winter boots and tank tops, socks and sandals, parkas and jean shorts. This time of year, the city is one big sartorial mess.

What I Wore: sometimes, the perfect outfit is already in your closet

By

Looking at a jam-packed wardrobe and feeling like you’ve worn every piece to death is the worst feeling. On those days, putting together a fresh outfit can feel tortuous and nearly impossible. On the other hand, the absolute best feeling is turning around and seeing the entire closet with what seems like a fresh set of eyes and finding something new buried deep within the old.
