Grab of the Week: a clutch that’s totally sharp

By

Purse-snatchers be warned: we’ve packed to protect ourselves. Not actually, of course, but at least this Guardian Angel clutch by Dutch brand Vlieger and Vandam will have thieves fooled into thinking so. Now, we don’t condone violence, but this purse is pretty badass. Find it now, front and centre, in A2Zane’s current winter-themed window display on Queen West.

Shop Talk: Mint Boutique opens in the Distillery District

In her words, it’s a boutique that’s “traditional but contemporary.”

When a spot down the street became available, she naturally jumped on it.

Gentleman’s Choice: a versatile and warm in-vest-ment

By

Although a vest should be considered a staple in your winter wardrobe (especially for those who don’t like to trade in dress shirts for sweaters), finding one that’s worth the investment is rare. This ombre knit vest from Canadian label Wings + Horns combines contemporary styling with comfort and warmth, and although it may be priced on the high end, its versatility will more than earn its worth over the years. It’s also currently on sale at Uncle Otis.

Grab of the Week: a tea towel for Toronto foodies

By

Toronto loves to eat. Left, right and centre, we are a city full of foodies. We love everything from fancy food we can’t pronounce to food we can buy on the street. So it’s no surprise that the Drake General Store has produced a tea towel featuring the city’s most popular eats. Illustrated by one of its own staff members, Joanne Cheung, the towel is special enough to frame.
