It may be hard to get our party leaders to tear into the meat of an issue, but a few key restaurants across our home and native land (including an Ethiopian restaurant at Bloor and Christie) are giving us the dish on our political leaders. Below, our roundup of a few places that offer election-inspired dishes, making it easier than ever to finally chew out our politicians.

Hepatitis A case discovered at North York restaurant

Toronto Public Health is urging anyone who ate at Sierra Grill in North York on Jan. 23, 2011 to get the Hepatitis A vaccine. An employee of the restaurant, located at 2901 Bayview Ave., near Sheppard Avenue, tested positive for the disease. Anyone who dined there on the date in question may have been exposed.

New sake brewery to open in Distillery District

Ontario Spring Water Sake Company, Toronto’s first Japanese sake brewery, located at the heart of the Distillery District, is set to open this spring. The company is developing Junmai (pure sake) and Nama (unpasteurized sake) on par with its Japanese counterparts.
